Frequently Asked Questions
The Job Seeker Study
About the Study
Who is conducting this study?
Lewers Research is an Australian market research company conducting this project on behalf of a major employment service/job matching organisation. We don’t disclose their identity as we do not wish to bias what you might otherwise say or do whilst involved in this study.
Can my friend or relatives join the study?
If you have someone who wishes to apply to participate, they can email: firstname.lastname@example.org
How long does each survey take?
The study is broken into 3 parts. There is the profile question you first answered which takes around 5 minutes to complete. After this we send you a check-in survey twice a week. Depending on what activities you have been up to this should take you around 2-4 minutes to complete.
What happens if I get a job or I change jobs?
If this happens it will be captured via our survey and we will contact you to move you out of the study. You will still be paid.
Will you be asking any personal or identifiable information?
During the initial profile questionnaire we ask you your age and gender so that we can make sure that we are getting a good representation of people. We need to know your name and email address so that we can send you your gift vouchers, but we do not identify you in our survey results. We ask for your mobile phone number so that we can send your survey via text message.
What happens if I don't get my survey invite?
If you haven’t received your first invitation after [kick off date] then please email email@example.com or call (03) 9823 9210
Why is this study going for four weeks?
We know that changing jobs or finding a job can take a long time. It’s hard to recall what you did in the weeks or months preceding this. By asking a number of people to record their steps along the way we can put together a more complete view of what Australians do and don’t do when they are looking for work or open to changing jobs.
I am going away on holidays, what now?
We have purposefully kept this study mobile friendly so that you can continue to stay involved.
