The Job Seeker Study

About the Study

Who is conducting this study?

Lewers Research is an Australian market research company conducting this project on behalf of a major Australian company. We don’t disclose their identity as we do not wish to bias what you might otherwise say or do whilst involved in this study, but we will tell you at the end of the three weeks.

Can my friend or relatives join the study?

If you have someone who wishes to apply to participate, they can email:

How long does each survey take?

The study is broken into three parts. There are the profile questions which you have already answered after clicking on the Facebook ad. After this, unless you let us know you wish to opt out of the study, we send you a check-in survey each night for three weeks. Depending on how many on-the-go food and drink occasions you’ve had that day, this will take you around 1-4 minutes to complete. Finally, after three weeks we will let you know that the study is winding up and we’ll send you one last question which will ask you to record your response on video. This is optional, but if you decide to answer you will receive an additional $10.

What happens if I change my mind and don’t want to continue with the study?

If you wish to leave before the end of the three weeks, please email: We will stop sending you the nightly messages. You can keep the $10 we’ve already sent you but you will not receive any further payments.

Will you be asking any personal or identifiable information?

During the initial profile questionnaire we ask you your age and gender so that we can make sure that we are getting  a good representation of people. We need to know your name and email address so that we can send you your gift vouchers, but we do not identify you in our survey results. We ask for your mobile phone number so that we can send your survey via text message.

What happens if I don't get my survey invite?

If you haven’t received your first invitation after [kick off date] then please email or call (03) 9823 9207.

Why is this study going for three weeks?

We know that people have different eating and drinking habits during the week and on weekends, and that much of the time when and what we buy is based on different circumstances like buying petrol. It’s hard to recall these things if we don’t ask about in the moment. By asking a number of people to log this every day we can put together a more complete view of what Australians do and don’t do when eating and drinking on the go.

It can help our client provide the best range of food and drinks for Aussies on-the-go everywhere.
